Gifts of Hope FAQs

The Gifts of Hope Catalogue gives you the opportunity to give a gift that matters. A gift to impact the lives of vulnerable children and families in the communities we serve. Each gift in our catalogue meets a real need of children and families living in poverty. When you give a gift in honour of a loved one, you can send an e-card to show your loved one how their gift is transforming lives in the Caribbean and Latin America.

Yes. While Gifts of Hope make meaningful holiday and Christmas gifts for the hard-to-shop-for people in your life, you can purchase Gifts of Hope at any time of year.

Yes you can! You will need to purchase each gift separately with its own transaction, due to the set up of our system. You will receive a separate donation thank you and receipt for each one.

For each gift and donation form, there will be a checkbox “I would like to dedicate this gift.” When checked, you will be given the option to “send an e-card” where you can fill out the necessary information, such as recipient name, email, your own personal message, and your choice of photo for the e-card.

FFPC is committed to managing donations in a responsible and transparent manner. This includes ensuring that your gift will be used for it’s specified purpose. However, there are instances where FFPC may receive funds that for various reasons are not eligible for the designated program. Occasionally, gifts may be reallocated towards another program in the same impact area to support children and their families where it is needed most.

Food For The Poor Canada works in international relief and sustainable development, empowering communities in Latin America and the Caribbean through five areas of investment: food, housing, health, education, and livelihood. FFPC responds to urgent needs while building community and social infrastructure, and utilizes pre-existing networks of local affiliated organizations to better sustain and grow the communities they serve. We ship and distribute food, medicines, and educational supplies, build villages, homes and schools, provide scholarships, and support income-generating projects.
