Twenty Grade 11 and 12 students from Holy Cross Catholic Secondary School in Kingston, Ontario traveled to Kingston, Jamaica in February on a week long mission trip. During their week, they spent a day in Ham Walk, Jamaica working with Food For The Poor to build a two bedroom home for a family. Melody, a single mother with two children, previously lived in a one bedroom house that was infested with termites and had a roof that leaked when it rained.

This is the 10th home that the students of Holy Cross Catholic Secondary School have built with Food For The Poor Canada. The students raise money for the trip and home construction throughout the year. During their trip, they also spent time volunteering in schools and with the elderly.
