Children from Notre Dame de Lourdes children’s home in Haiti receiving hand sanitizers and learning how to clean their hands

With thanks to our generous donors and food and health partners at Ontario Christian Gleaners and HPIC, FFPC has shipped 4 containers between Honduras, Jamaica, and Haiti since the beginning of the year.

The containers included a variety of supplies to support with feeding programs, stocking hospitals and health centres with medicine, equipping students with educational materials, and continuing to provide the necessary items to help communities with the fight against COVID-19.

So far in 2021, FFPC has shipped over 305,000 meals to Jamaica, and over $1.1 million in medicine and supplies to Haiti, Jamaica, and Honduras, with another container of food planned for Haiti in July.

Distributions from previous containers have been taking place, and in-country teams have been busy ensuring that these items are reaching communities in need. Hand sanitizers and PPE were distributed in Haiti, COVID-19 care packages were delivered to frontline workers in Jamaica, and vegetable soup mix, rice, and beans were distributed across schools, orphanages, and local community organizations in Honduras and Guyana.

FFPC continues to raise funds for shipping and distribution to be able to provide urgently needed food and medicine to the most vulnerable communities. With your support, we can continue to make meaningful impacts.
