Air Transat has offered an incredible gift to the people of Haiti who were affected by Hurricane Matthew; the gift to of an empty airplane to be filled by Canadians working with Food For The Poor Canada, flying between Montreal and Port-au-Prince on November the 15 th
Together with our donors and partners we will:
- Deliver emergency relief items to the people of Haiti.
- Provide International aid staff from various Canadian NGOs a complimentary flight to Port au Prince to help support their work.
Food For The Poor Canada (FFPC) and Air Transat are asking Canadian Corporations and individuals to get on board this important venture to support Haiti.
We are focused on preventing and responding to Cholera with this flight. High impact emergency supplies – Water purification tablets and rehydration salts will be our main focus and we need your help to purchase them.
One of FFPC ‘s most important partners, Health Partners International of Canada is providing 15 skids of medicines and emergency supplies to FFPC as part of this life saving team effort.
We are working with Food For The Poor Haiti (FFPH), to get emergency supplies quickly to those who need it most. For 30 years 300 Haitian staff at FFPH have been serving over 3000 recipient organizations; schools, hospitals, community distribution locations, orphanages, prisons and other groups
They have built over 6,000 concrete homes since the earthquake, as well as schools, clinics, and sustainability projects.
