Food For The Poor Canada and Food For The Poor Jamaica in partnership with Helping Hands Jamaica, the Stephen Tulloch Foundation and more than 30 volunteers, recently got together to build Little London Infant School in Westmoreland, Jamaica.
A fantastic group of volunteers, NFL players, their families and friends worked hard in the Caribbean heat alongside Food For The Poor contractors and staff to build this school. They were excited to see the result of their efforts at the end of the three-day build.
Little London Infant School is an addition to the already existing Primary School that will increase the school’s capacity to 120 children (ages 3-6) providing free access to early childhood education for the surrounding predominantly rural community of Little London.
This was Food For The Poor Canada’s 24th school build in Jamaica since the charity was founded 10 years ago! We work closely with community leaders and the Ministry of Education in Jamaica to help fill the gap in areas where children lack access to education.
Thank you Helping Hands Jamaica, Stephen Tulloch Foundation and all the volunteers for donating their time and funds to Little London Infant School.
It is amazing what we can achieve when we work together.
