It’s been a busy spring at Food For The Poor! In May, we sent a 40′ container with 16 skids of canned chickpeas to feed hungry in Haiti and another 40′ container full of medicines and educational supplies for hospitals and schools in Jamaica. On June 3, we raised funds for education in Jamaica at the annual Walkathon organized by our partner Helping Hands Jamaica Foundation.
We continue to build schools as part of our early childhood education initiatives. This month, we highlight the newly constructed Bogue Hill Infant School funded by Laura McCain-Jensen. In the summer, we are building 4 schools with Helping Hands and other partners.
