In early February, Food For The Poor and volunteers from Jamaica, the US and Canada built a new school for the Salt Marsh Infant department in Trelawny, Jamaica. FFPC took the opportunity to distribute books to the 4 and 5 year old children from generous donors across Canada. The children were so excited to receive brand new educational and fun books from you.
These books will spark the young minds and nurture the imaginations of children like Jamelia for years to come. School resources have a lasting impact on schools across Jamaica. They provide reading resources for the children as well as provide the teachers with a new found energy often!
